Nicole Hartford is an American meteorologist working for 11Alive, WXIA in Atlanta serving during weekend evenings. Hartford joined the station in February 2022.
Nicole Hartford Career | Education
Hartford went to the University of Miami where she graduated with a degree in meteorology and mathematics. She then began her professional career working at KKCO/KJCT in Grand Junction, Colorado. She took different roles there such as producing, reporting, forecasting weather, and anchoring. Nicole also worked as a morning meteorologist for seven years in Texas at KVII in Amarillo and then joined KEYE in Austin working as a meteorologist. During her time there, she was able to storm chase in Tornado Alley, it was actually a way of spending her free time. She is also currently involved with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and loves to visit schools in North Georgia and Atlanta where she actually builds interest in meteorology and STEM to the students.
When Nicole is not at the weather center, she enjoys exploring the outdoors through activities like SCUBA diving, skiing, hiking, camping, fishing, and indulging in amateur photography. She says that being a trustworthy, dependable, and engaged member of our community is a fundamental aspect of her role. Further, the love she has for my hometown is so much that she eagerly anticipates the chance to contribute and give back.
